Compared with a standard 8–10 note handpan, the 17-note Kaxen gives you a much wider melodic and harmonic palette.
Tuned in the E Hijaz / A double harmonic mode, it offers the exotic, emotional flavor associated with Middle-Eastern and Persian music,
while still being intuitive enough for modern ambient, world and cinematic styles.

The extra notes allow for more scale extensions and passing tones, easier chord voicings and arpeggios, and more room for improvisation across multiple octaves.

Built from nitrided stainless steel

Like the 10-note model, the 17-note Kaxen handpan is made from nitrided stainless steel.
This combines the surface hardness and impact resistance of nitrided steel with the improved corrosion resistance of stainless steel,
and delivers a warm, focused tone suited to both meditative playing and faster, more percussive techniques.

Matte black finish

The product features a matte black finish, which looks elegant and understated on stage and under studio lights, with slightly reduced reflections compared to glossy finishes.

Complete bundle: hard case, maintenance oil & rope wrap

The 17-note handpan is sold as a complete bundle, including a shock-resistant hard case, plant-based handpan maintenance oil and a free woven rope edge around the rim.
This makes it ready for travel, regular playing and long-term care straight out of the box.
